The most imposing building of Majorca is the Bellver castle, which offers an incredible view of the city of Palma, being situated at a height of 112 meters over the sea level and at a distance of 3 kilometers from the capital.

The castle which hosts a museum and a chapel was built between 1300-1310 by King Jaime II, serving as residence and fortress. This is one of the few circular castles of Europe, the wonderful architectural monument being used on summers even for live concerts.

The castle may be visited between 08.00 AM and 21.00 PM on weekdays and between 10.00 AM and 19 PM on Sundays.
